It's not just Mid-Century Modern furniture

MidMod Decor buys and sells original and lightly restored Mid-Century Modern furniture and home goods. We do carry different styles of Mid-Century Modern furniture, but you will find that our emphasis is more so on Scandinavian and Danish Modern furniture. Most pieces that come through our space have been lightly restored by Barbara and items that have yet to be refinished are always available for customization & upholstery. In certain instances we partner with local experts for specialty repairs like metal fabrication and re-upholstery services. If you're looking for a treasured piece to bring your space together we'd love to help. Our goal is to make sure that the pieces that we acquire go on to bring enjoyment to new families for decades to come. Our business is not just selling Mid-Century Modern furniture—it’s about family. Our aim is to preserve furniture that is as enduring as the memories we make with our loved ones.

Our History

Barbara & George Sr always had the “collecting bug” and formalized it when they founded MidMod Décor in late 2013. Their intent was to share their love of Mid-Century Modern and Danish Modern furniture with others. During the first few years, the business operated entirely online with a small warehouse space in Port Richmond, Philadelphia—within a mile from the neighborhood where George Sr. grew up. As the business grew, so did the need for space. In 2016, MidMod relocated to their current location in Willow Grove, PA to share space with another furniture dealer and an upholsterer. From then on, MidMod started opening their doors every Sunday from 11am to 4pm for the public to come and shop in person. In the spring of 2019, George Sr. passed away, but his impact on the business and those he loved endures. MidMod Decor continues to move “full-steam ahead” in its current form and is now operated by Barbara and her son George Jr.
